Home this week against a team from the Elm Tree, had a close game against them in the first half se we were expecting another one tonight. No Reaper tonight as he had gone to Ireland in search of three wise men and a virgin, he is still looking.
First on was the swaying mantis himself, although he was a little unsure of his feet he was sure of the winning double and recorded a good 2-1 win. Next up was yours truly, played ok but was never really pushed and won 2-0.
Third on was the dirty Hoare playing the loud one, in a very uncharacteristicly bad game the Hoare could not hit a barn door with a badger and lost 2-0.
Next on was the Kangaroo man himself Mr Chris Kibbey, we had been expecting good things lately as he has been playing well with his gold plated Phil Taylor darts, it was like The Power himself had turned up to play, a good game and an easy 2-0 win for the Kibbey
Next up was Colin "all the gear - no idea" Bird, he had darts at a double in both legs but it was not to be his night and lost 2-0
Last on was the Bullfighting Bin Man, Clintos the Greek, with the accuracy and grace we have come to expect from West Oxfordshire District Council's finest he cruised to a good 2-1 victory
Pairs:
Cliff and Nick lost 2-1 with an abysmal display, even Anthony Fleet had better hand to double coordination!
Second pair on was The Hoare and Kibbey, looking to make amends the Hoare raised his game and with Kibbey in fine form they won 2-1
Last on was Jabber and The Greek, they tried hard but were beaten 2-0
On the whole a decent result but we could and maybe should have had a 7-2 at least, still it is a win and that is important. Cracking gam from Kibbey who is developing into a consistant performer, so is The Bird but for different reasons :)
