Game Review

OK so we finally have a game after what seems an age of waiting. The Butchers fought their way through the snow and arrived safely so the proceedings could commence. The CODS are missing a player tonight, Clintos The Greek is MIA, we have not seen him nor have we heard from him which is unusual. First up for the CODS was the swaying mantis himself and after careful negotiation of that double one came home 2-0. Next on wasthe Grim Reaper, a good and close game which locked at 1-1 and in the deciding leg the Butchers boy got to the double first but missed about 12 darts at it and you cannot afford to do that against the Reaper, he closed out the game for a 2-1 win. Third on was the Dirty Hoare, a cracking performance from Andy saw him take a comfortable 2-0 win and the CODS are now 3-0 up. Next up was Jabber and he was unfortunate to find the Butchers man in fine form and was beaten 2-0, score now CODS 3-1 Butchers. Fifth on for the CODS was The Kangaroo Man Kibbey and he stormed off hitting trebles for fun and won the first leg with ease, he should also have taken the second leg but doubles cost him and we were down to w decider. Ade from the Butchers played well in the decider and Chris couldn't reproduce the scoring power of the first two legs and went down 2-1. Last on was me, not a classic but just did enough for a 2-0 win and we were now 4-2 up going into the pairs. Our first pair was The Mantis and The Reaper (surely soon to be a hollywood blockbuster) who cruised to a 2-0 win and the match was now secured at 5-2. Our second pairing of the kissing cousins Andy and Colin were unable to make headroads into the Butchers pair and were unlucky to go down 2-0. Last pair was myself and the Skippy substitute and we won fairly easily 2-0 which meant that the CODS are back to winning ways at 6-3. Well done guys we needed that after the last two results. Mystery surrounds the disappearance of The Greek, would anyone with information as to his whereabouts please contact the office, we are attempting to do a reconstruction of his last 7 days and have already signed up Sam from Emmerdale to play the leading part. We shall keep you posted as to the success of this hunt.
