Away this weekto the Yeoman, yes there actually is a pub called the Oxfordshire Yeoman, how wierd is that? First up for the CODS was Clintos The Greek Chivers,Clint could not get started and lost 2-0. Next up for the CODS was Andy Hoare, had darts to win the second leg but the Yeoman man was just too strong and in a close one Andy lost 2-0. Third on for the CODS was Cliff The Swaying Mantis Southam, living up to his nickname perfect he swayed to the left, then he swayed to the right and somehow managed to win the game 2-1. Fourth on was yours truly, Played well and hit my doubles first dart for a 2-0 win, match now tied at 2-2. Fourth on was Graham The Grim Reaper Woodward, a close game but The Reaper finally pulled his two step together and edged it 2-1. Last on for the CODS was Chris Jabber Green, he never really got started and lost 2-0. The matchwas now perfectly poised at 3-3with just the pairs to go. Stepping down for the pairs were Clint and Chris, some were more happy to step down than others though. Coming in are Colin No Idea Bird and Chris Kangaroo Kibbey, First pair was Colin and Andy, they won the first leg but just struggled in the next two and lost 2-1. Second pair on was yours truly and the Mantis, An easy win followed and the match now tied at 4-4. Our hopes of winning this game rested on The Reaper and The Kangaroo (there's a TV show title there) Great play from both the CODS men saw them win 2-1 and the CODS win the match 5-4.
