Top of the table clash this one, played a close one against these fellas up their venue so we were looking for another close game tonight. Yours truly was drawn out first in the singles grrrr, didn't play too bad and won 2-0. second on for the cods wasThe Reaper, close game but doubles proved to be the difference as the reaper struggled his silver haired opponent hit them and we lost 2-0. Third on for the CODS was the Swaying Mantis himself, having topped up on Kronenburg and with glasses on, then off, then on again he swayed to a 2-0 victory. Fourth on was Mr Kangaroo himself playing P Mills from the Yeomen, both guys had been to the Unicorn darts shop and really looked the part with their specially made named darts shirts, both throwing trebles for fun, then some sod shouted game on and it was back to business as usual. The Kangaroo proved too strong and won 2-0. Fifth on was The Greek, a close game which the Yeoman man really should have won but doubles for dough as they say and a good 2-0 win for the kebab king. Last on was The Hoare playing Steve lay who was top of the singles wins table, what a cracker as The Hoare took the first and then had darts to win the second so we went into a decider, with The Hoare on 119 the Yeomen man hit a crack 125 to leave tops which he hit after The Hoare missed his out, good game guys. That left it poised at 4-2 to the CODS and into the pairs we went. I was joined by Jabber and although we lost the first leg we rallied and acraped home 2-1 to make sure of the win for the CODS. The Swaying Mantis and The Kangaroo Man played well but were just pipped 2-1 in theirs. Last pair was The Greek who was joined by Colin "No Idea" Bird, our guys played theirbest but were pipped at the doubles by the Yeomen. Final score 5-4 to the CODS and a good result overall. Must say we did not have much to do with the Yeomen guys up their place but got to know them a little better last night and they are a good bunch of guys, good night.
